מה למדנו כשאמרו לנו לעשות את זה באקסל

They told us, 'Just Do it in Excel.' We did something else.

Just do it in Excel. It’s not that complicated. Even if I had this tool, I wouldn’t use it.

These words might sound familiar if you've ever tried to introduce innovative change. They certainly were for us. When our finance team proposed an idea to enhance forecasting with 𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, we faced pushbacks. But here's what I’ve learned: 𝐏𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 - 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐚 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞. Instead of giving up, I leaned in. I used my connections, reached out to data scientists across the company, and found people who believed in the potential of the idea. Together, we launched a proof of concept (POC). It’s still early days. We don’t know yet if it will succeed, but here’s how I see it: 👉 If it doesn’t work, we’ll have learned something valuable. 👉 If it does work, wow — imagine the impact.

Here’s what’s exciting: According to recent survey conducted by FP&A Trends Group, only 6% of finance teams globally use machine learning. If we succeed, it could put us in a position to lead the way in finance innovation. But beyond the outcome, it’s the process that matters most: 💡 Turning resistance into action. 💡 Turning ideas into reality. 💡 Turning “No” into “Let’s see what’s possible.”

How do you approach pushback when you’re driving innovation?
